it's good weather for black leather

happy memories, originally uploaded by apocalypsefictions.

An old one.

I've got quite a lot of 35mm work I want to upload, and am still shooting more, i'm just currently lacking a way to do that. I'm also hopefully going to be working on some fashion/modeling shots, as soon as I get the 50mm f1.8 Nikkor i've been eyeing. Once i've got all this sorted, with any luck i'll return this site to regular daily updates, although i'm considering that once i've found a way of scanning 35mm prints, doing a single film a week and uploading that. I might start a new sight for that. We'll see.

Anyway, this photo was taken in Frensham, Surrey, back in Britain. The weather here in Tokyo over the past few days has taken a nosedive into the kind of invigorating coldness which I assosciate with winter and the countryside. This isn't so much creating homesickness, given that I would be hard pushed to call Hampshire/Surrey home anymore, as much as it is making me feel very overwhelmed by the city. A sattelite photo of Tokyo and the surrounding area is alarmingly grey. It's probably hard to be so far away from any wildlife, forests, fields, even those shaped by human hands, which is more or less the polar opposite of what I am accustomed to.
